- Hand wash in cold, fresh water with a gentle cleanser – the sooner, the better! Your suit has been through a lot (ocean salt, pool chlorine, that questionable beach bar cocktail) so give it some TLC. Machine washing? Absolutely not. Detergents and bleach are basically the villains of the swimwear world – your suit’s too delicate for that kind of drama. If you have to use detergent, go for a mild, fragrance-free option, or something made just for swimwear fabrics (yes, that exists, and yes, it’s magic).
- Hang it up or lay it flat in the shade right after rinsing. Sunlight is its mortal enemy, and rough surfaces? No thank you – that’s like asking for a permanent wedgie.
- Don’t store it damp – your swimwear is not a fan of the ‘wet dog’ lifestyle, so make sure it’s completely dry before putting it away.
- Do not iron - we don't even own a iron so this is easy for us - but if you are more adult than us - do not use it on your swimwear!
